Formicarium ("ant farm") with large colony of Desert Long-Legged Ants (millbrae)

Offering this custom-made formicarium ("ant farm") for $100, which includes a healthy, stable colony of ants with a queen. Fun and educational to watch and care for! This species is Novomessor cockerelli, the "desert long-legged ant", native to southern California and other Southwest states. Formicariums of this size actually sell for far more than this commercially; selling it here for a low price as I am forced to downsize. Includes one queen, and roughly ~200 (or so) workers. The photos here are from a few months ago, and there are more ants now; the colony grew over the summer. If you have some experience with keeping an ant colony, that would be preferred, but not strictly necessary. This would be a good species even for first-time ant keepers. They have been very stable, and (in my experience) easy to care for. This species does not require a cold winter dormancy/hibernation. I received the queen and some workers in Jan 2022, and have had them since then. Also includes the formicarium (nest) and outworld as shown in the photos. i.e. The ants will stay in the nest, to minimize disturbance. Both were made by me, and have worked great. The formicarium is quite large - 12.25" x 8.5", with 4 water reservoirs, 4 nest tubes, and 2 entry/exit points. The front glass is museum glass; very very clear and anti-reflective. There is still quite a bit of room in the nest for the colony size to increase! Or you can keep the population constant simply by feeding less. The outworld is a 10-gallon aquarium with a custom clear lid w/ magnetic screen panel. The heating cable is not included, but is necessary. I'm happy to provide some info on how I have been caring for them, and also include the care sheet that the seller sent me when I purchased them.
