Date: 10/05/2025-MUST HAVE CURRENT FREEZER EXPERIENCE!! Please do not apply if you do not have current freezer experience! Cal Ocean Enterprises is seeking a full-time Stand-up Reach Forklift Operator to join our team in Vernon, CA. The Forklift Operator plays a key role in inventory, receiving, shipping, storing, and checking orders for the freezer warehouse. We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety conscious, handles goods with care, and can follow a schedule to complete work orders in a timely manner. Warehouse Operators are under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor. Full-time, Overtime, Bonus Key Qualifications • Experience with stand-up reach forklift and warehouse freezer racking required. • Forklift Certification and OSHA Forklift License is preferred. • Must have a valid CA driver's license with a clean driving record. • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment (subzero temperatures) • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Safe operations are the priority. o Operators must understand and follow all company food safety, general safety and security policies. • Inbound products into warehouse. o Inspect all inbound trailers for cleanliness prior to unloading. Insure chocks are in place as needed. o Unload truck only after ensuring that inbound shipping requirements are being fulfilled. Receive/Inspect all products as to company guidelines and product specifications. o Communicate findings to Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager. Fill out the paperwork required for QA when receiving the product. o Record warehouse data using a iPad or similar tablet device. o Ensure that product is received and labeled with company coding labels. • Quality Check (Inspections) when shipping: o Warehouse Operator will be trained to perform quality checks. Inspect all outbound product for quality as per company guidelines (packaging integrity, correct labels, appearance, quality.) o Fill out the paperwork required for QA, and then call the Supervisor to check and agree with the defect summary written down. o Communicate results of the quality checks to Warehouse Supervisor. • Outbound: Load customer trailers. o Select product and/or build pallets to customer's requirements for shipping using pick lists; stage for loading (stretch wrap, labels, pallet conditions, etc) Perform quality checks. o Double check orders for lot identification, quantity and labeling information. Assist prep room operators as needed. • Assist with keeping facility clean: o Keep warehouse coolers, docks, and staging areas at food level cleanliness. o Clean spills, standing water, pallet shards or any foreign object from floor immediately. o Clean and sanitize equipment following company food safety guidelines. • Inventory: o Maintain accurate counts of quantity and product identification for both inbound and outbound. o Correctly place and locate product in the assigned rack area. Perform cycle counts/recounts of inventory quantity as directed and submit corrections. • Teamwork: o Help other personnel when appropriate - with a task that needs two or with instructional information or with location problems (if you know a product's location.) o Support the supervisor and the rest of the team to accomplish department objectives in customer service, accuracy, and productivity. The Cogeneration Plant Manager oversees the daily operation of the Cogen plant operations and associated heat distribution, along with directly supervising cogeneration plant full-time union staff to safely maintain the efficient, compliant operation of the plant energy production. Responsibility also covers procurement of supplies and material, working with contractors and dealing with technical issues to optimize energy production and utility performance. Principal Responsibilities Direct and control the day-to-day operations, ensuring continuous production of electricity, engine operations and heat while maintaining quality standards and minimizing costs. Recruit, manage, and develop plant union staff, providing clear direction, building trusting relationships, fostering a productive team environment and addressing employee concerns. Responsible for staff orientation and training. Oversee maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance of plant equipment (waste heat boilers, pumps, cooling systems, generators, motors, etc.), enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Monitor plant systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement strategies for plant optimization and continual improvement, such as improving the heat rate.
