Farmers Market Helper (kakaako)

Reports To: Market Manager Our Focus: Supporting island companies, local agricultural growth, and providing community gathering space to enjoy Hawaiʻi's beauty. Summary: Maintain safe, functional, friendly environment for vendors to share products and services with the community. Requirements: Reliable commute, strong work ethic, excellent communication Represent FarmLovers with professionalism and courtesy Setup/repair tables, tents, chairs using basic tools (training provided) Physical Demands: Lift/carry/push/pull 50+ lbs regularly, 75+ lbs occasionally with assistance Stand/walk extended periods with full mobility of hands, arms, back, legs Work outdoors in all weather on uneven terrain Duties: Setup/Breakdown: Tents, tables, chairs, trash cans, café areas, sanitation areas, signs/banners/flags, cones/dividers, fire extinguisher Follow all safety procedures Manage vendor/customer traffic flow, communicate concerns to supervisor Report operational issues and suggest improvements Maintain storage rooms/market van - clean, organized, functional equipment Transport equipment using push carts, hand trucks, vehicles Inventory: Trash bags, zip ties, paper towels, soap, sanitizer Sanitation: Empty trash regularly, maintain restrooms and hand washing stations, keep café areas presentable, clean spills/hazardous materials immediately Security: Enforce drive-in (before 6:45am) and drive-out (12:15pm) protocols, report suspicious activities, safely escort disruptive parties from premises $20/ hour Call:Pamela 808-388-9696 Email: alohafarmlovers@gmail.com
