Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Electrophysiology. In this crucial role, you will care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for cardiac conditions. You will work closely with interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists to ensure the highest quality of patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and assist patients for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. Monitor patients' vital signs and perform assessments pre, during, and post-procedure. Administer medications and manage sedation as required during procedures. Collaborate effectively with the cardiac team to facilitate smooth operations in the cath lab. Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and lifestyle changes. Document care provided accurately and maintain thorough records in electronic medical systems. Follow infection control protocols and uphold safety standards in the cath lab. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team performance. Requirements Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) 3+ years in ICU, Cath Lab, or equivalent high-acuity environment Experience within the last 6 months in a critical care setting Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association). Moderate Sedation Certification (from the American Association of Moderate Sedation Nurses (AAMSN), Sedation Certification, or hospitals) Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology procedures, and cardiovascular medications. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations. Preferred Qualifications: MSN degree. Previous experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or electrophysiology lab. Certification in Cardiac Cath Lab (CCRN) or related specialty. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
