Position Title: Direct Care Counselor FLSA Status: Non-exempt Department: Ke Kama Pono Supervisor: Program Director Primary Purpose: Provide direct care and supervision to youth according to the foundation’s policies and procedures, licensing and accreditation requirements. Essential Duties: • Supervise activities for residents that will increase their cultural awareness and enhance their self-esteem; • Work with the Lead Direct Care Counselor to oversee residents in their day to day routines in the house; • Assist in the delivery of services, and activities for the residents in the program; • Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; • Prepare documents and reports as necessary. Other Duties: Other duties as assigned by Program Director or direct supervisor. Work Hours: • Sunday through Saturday, work hours vary depending on program needs or otherwise determined by the supervisor; • Position requires regular and predictable attendance; • Some events on evenings or weekends at various times. Working Conditions: • Office setting; • Travel in program and/or personal vehicle to and from program sites.
