We are looking for an experienced, professional Line Cook to join BoujieMana. You will prepare high-quality meals that meet the chef’s expectations. You will be responsible for maintaining food preparation areas, stocking food products, ensuring proper storage and cooking of food, and maintaining sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. The line cook will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth. Key Responsibilities: • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of BoujieMana • Inspect, clean, and maintain food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices • Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, roasters, and other kitchen equipment • Guarantee freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock • Know and comply with the restaurant’s standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures • Responsible for the quality of products served • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to support a smooth service period • Handles, stores, and rotates all food products and supplies according to restaurant policies and procedures Qualifications & Skills • Minimum two years’ experience working in a professional restaurant as a line cook • Valid Food Handler’s Card • Proficient in reading English • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods. • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Aptitude for multi-tasking • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Please note: Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which includes a drug screening.
