Our beloved neighborhood market specializes in fine meats and seafood, but we also offer a wide variety of specialty products such as wine and beer, fresh pastas, imported cheeses, and locally-sourced produce from the farmers market. Ideal candidate loves food, works well in a team, can multi-task efficiently, 2+ years kitchen/restaurant experience. **Ability to butcher is not a requirement, but a huge plus! DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: -- Greet and assist customers, creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience. -- Provide detailed product knowledge and make recommendations based on customer preferences. -- Assist with checkout, including handling payments and keeping track of customer orders. -- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house space. -- Ensure product displays are stocked, well-organized, and reflective of our market’s high standards. -- Light cutting and food prep. -- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth operations. -- Actively contribute to a collaborative and friendly work environment. WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO HERE - Keep shots on recipe by weight/time; micro-adjust all day (grind, dose, yield, temp). - Taste your work. If it’s off, fix it. We don’t serve "good enough." - Milk = true microfoam, proper temp, smooth mouthfeel. Latte art expected. - Keep the bar tight: purge, rinse, backflush, wipe, repeat. Clean burrs/baskets/screens. - Be great with guests without cutting corners.
