An established San Francisco public works contractor, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our team. Must have a minimum of 3 years verifiable experience and references. Preference will be given to candidates experienced with SAGE. Key Responsibilities: • Process payroll for approximately 25 employees • Prepare certified payroll reports • Handle union reporting and payroll taxes • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable • Oversee insurance documentation and compliance • Provide support on audits, including workers’ compensation and OCIP reporting • Order plans and specs/drop off bids if necessary • Assist with general office tasks and special projects as needed Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of payroll and accounting experience, including union payroll • Familiarity with certified payroll requirements and prevailing wage compliance • Experience with payroll software; SAGE 100 preferred • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and within a team • Must have clean California driver’s license Schedule: 3 days per week (8:30 – 5:00 pm) – possible 4 days.
