We are a large CNC mill/lathe work and sheet metal fab shop with a good staff of friendly machinist looking for a Quality Manager to lead the team forward in quality. The Quality Manager has the responsibility and authority to oversee and assure compliance with the ISO 9001 standard. Compliance is required throughout the organization to ensure the Quality Management System is in place and understood as it applies to design, development, production, installation and servicing activities. The Quality Manager is responsible for the administration of the Quality Management System and has the responsibility and authority to carry out the requirements of the Standard. The Quality Manager typically carries out the following steps to gain and maintain compliance: ● Writes a Quality Manual and other documents necessary to support the Quality Management System; ● Oversees conduct of internal audits, in compliance with the "Internal Audits" and "Management Review" requirements of ISO 9001. ● Requests a "Third Party Audit" from a recognized assessment agency when the results of the internal audits are satisfactory, in order to gain ISO 9001 Registration. ● Carries out periodic internal audits and management reviews even after registration is obtained. ● Ensuring that the QMS conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001 standard ● Ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs ● Reporting on the performance of the QMS on opportunities for improvement and for reporting to top management ● Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout your company ● Ensuring that the integrity of the QMS is maintained when changes to the QMS are planned and implemented Other Responsibilities: Ensure there are adequate documented procedures, work instructions, flowcharts, forms and assembly instructions to support the Quality Management System. Must have experience in CNC manufacturing. Ability to read and understand parts drawings, ability to use and accurately measure parts with inspection tools (CMM, micrometers, height gages, indicators, calipers, comparator), knowledge of GD&T, CMM experience with CMM manager, ISO 9001 experience. Being able to manage a small group of QC Inspectors. Recertification of Quality Assurance certifications.
