We have an opening for a fitter. We are a family owned structural steel fab shop looking for fulltime year around fitter. Summary of desired qualifications: - Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the steel fabrication industry. - Familiarity with structural steel shop, fabrication tools, and machinery, including material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts is required. - Must have WABO certified or have ability to get certified immediately. - Must be able to read and understand shop drawings and work independently. - Must have the ability to understand instructions and safety policies. - Structural Steel layout and fitting experience is required. - A layout / fit / welding test may be required prior to employment. Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00 40 Hours a week with occasional overtime. Good morning The Brick Doctor here... I am looking for someone to work with me part time , usually 3 to 4 days a week, to execute masonry repair work for various clients in the Charleston area. I am semi-retired and would really like to establish a good working relationship with someone I could train in masonry repair . I do a variety of scopes of work, cutting brick out for windows and doors to be added , repairing mortar in steps, fixing cracked brick due to settling, matching mortar color, patching concrete, brick walkways and patios and on and on. I will also take on carpentry jobs from time to time mostly decks. Most all of my jobs are one or two days long and we don't engage in any large scale new construction jobs. I can stay plenty busy with repair work! Must be able to lift heavy stuff, climb scaffold, use a cut off saw, etc... you know masonry stuff. ! I try not to work full weeks but sometimes I do , I try to keep it to a 4 day week. The pay is good and the work usually not too hard.
