Description of Essential job functions for Garage Door installation and service technicians: * Unload and load materials on and off of trucks. Materials may weigh up to 60 lbs. and greater than 90 lbs. on occasion. * Safely climb and work off of ladders. * Safely drive to and from jobsites. * Communicate and orientate new customers with door and opener functions Physical requirements include: * All types of movement while installing or carrying doors and hardware to and from the jobsite. * Unload and load materials on and off of trucks. Materials may weigh up to 65 lbs. and greater than 90 lbs. on occasion. Work includes: * Installation and service of steel, wood and aluminum doors, motors and controls. Materials are to be installed in the field on jobsites and customer locations. Drilling, cutting, carpentry, framing, and installation of components to make up working doors and openers. We are a small firm specializing in the fabrication, finishing, installation & restoration of historic & traditional architectural woodwork. We are looking for woodworkers with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Our shop is in Sunnyside, Queens. Our site work tends to be mainly in the 5 boroughs, but we do a significant amount of work out of the city as well.
 We work on wood windows & doors, cornices, staircases, and other architectural woodwork. We work at public & private buildings. Our projects range from staircase and handrail installation to the installation & servicing of traditional wood windows. Being focused on restoration, our work tends to be eclectic and requires flexibility. Each staff member is engaged in a variety of tasks both on-site & in the shop. We occasionally work on brownstone scaffolds so a comfort with heights is helpful. We often work in sensitive environments such as museums, public spaces & religious buildings. Thoughtful behavior and proper inter-personal skills are essential.
