Mechanic / Senior Trades Worker Office of Transportation and Facilities Job Summary: This is skilled work performing vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance and repairs. Job duties include: Performs vehicle preventative maintenance and major and minor repairs to District light fleet, heavy equipment, hydraulic units, and systems. Performs routine preventive maintenance and service tasks on all fleet vehicles, to include 1-ton and 3/4-ton pickups, dump trucks, lowboy tractors, heavy equipment, tractor with mower/disc attachments, generators, pumps, outboard motors and other tools and equipment. Maintains and performs scheduled services and operational repairs to project pumps, engines, vehicles and other small equipment used on projects (engine descriptions include diesel, gas and alternate fuel as well as hydraulic and electrical pumps, motors and control units). Performs preventative maintenance and checks and services District vehicles and equipment.
