We are a busy commercial general contractor looking to add carpenters to our team. This person will be involved in commercial ground-up retail buildings, and tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be able and willing to perform most working tasks on a commercial construction site. You must have your own vehicle and be willing travel throughout Washington State. Night and graveyard shifts may be required. This position is well suited to someone that is interested in moving into a foreman and/or superintendent role. The pay rate will depend on experience but we want good people and are happy to pay above average wages and benefits. This position will require moving construction materials, tools and heavy equipment. You should be able to carry up to 80 pounds and climb stairs, ramps and ladders frequently. Job requirements include being comfortable kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, crawling and reaching outright and overhead frequently. Qualifications: Experienced in the commercial construction industry Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, insurable and excellent driving record Ability to pass a drug test and background check Ability to work well with others and communicate without profanity. Work safely and use protective equipment. Ability to read construction plans Possess your own hand tools Perform work with a high level of accuracy and a focus on efficiency. Work successfully alone or with others. Take direction and give direction. Safely and competently use a variety of carpentry tools. The right person will be highly critical of their own work, pay attention to fabrication detail and work with minimal supervision once directions have been given. The tech will also fabricate led rings, box and label items, and assist with shop organization, among other things.
