Plant People Northwest is a small, sustainable landscaping company. Our service area includes North Seattle, Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, and Magnolia. We seek an experienced gardener/ horticulture grad to join our year-round crew. We’re accepting applications for part time (minimum 3 days/week) and full time. Our schedule is from 8-4, Monday through Friday (no weekends). This is a year-round position. Your daily work will include weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, fertilizing and more. You’ll also assist on installation projects from time to time. We generally do not mow lawns, except as a special favor to a client. We maintain our gardens without the use of toxic chemicals, with a focus on soil health and "right plant, right place". We pride ourselves on skillful pruning and have attended many classes with Plant Amnesty. We use mainly hand tools and only electric power tools. Our design and project team installs plantings, patios, raised beds, microspray irrigation, and more. Basic Qualifications: • Work history showing 1+ years of professional gardening experience with a Western WA, horticulture-focused company, OR a hort degree/ certification (or both!) • A working knowledge of plant and weed ID, horticulture and pruning practices. • Enthusiasm, energy, and stamina. • A cooperative, helpful, positive personality. • Adaptability with challenges, setbacks, and changes of direction. • An intuitive knowledge of how to work briskly and "look busy". • A self-directed desire to learn and grow! • Have a clean driving record, a reliable vehicle for transportation to job sites, and a smartphone for accessing our calendar and other tools. Pay and Benefits: Starting pay is $22-24 DOE. If you have ample experience/credentials and leadership qualities, we will move you into crew leadership as quickly as possible, which would come with an additional raise. Our crew lead in training make $26 and our crew leads start at $27. Unique Millwork Cabinetry and Countertops is seeking a skilled individual(s) with knowledge in cabinet building and solid surface fabrication, with a motivation to produce quickly and with quality. We are located in Arvada at 52nd and Marshall. This shop has been around for over 30 years and under new management for the last 4 years. We continue to grow the business and need additional personnel to meet the demands. This is a full-time position. We have a separate installation crew and a majority of the work will be in the shop. Requirements: Your own transportation and hand/power/pneumatic tools are required as in field installation may be required at times. Millwork saws, edge-bander and glue applicators are supplied by the shop for use in the shop. We do a multitude of different projects to include laminate counters, cabinet building and installation, solid surface fabrication and installation, various millwork fabrication and installation for low-income housing complexes, private residential, multi-family complexes and commercial applications. We are branching out into new builds as well. Job Duties will include but not limited to: -Fabrication of solid surface -New cabinet builds and cabinet rebuilds -Cabinet door/drawer/drawer fronts/faux front fabrication -Laminate countertop fabrication. -Shop cleanliness and organization Starting pay will be $26-$29 an hour depending on knowledge/skill.
