We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level General Laborer to join our team and kickstart their career in the construction industry. We have projects throughout San Diego County. Position: Entry-Level General Construction Laborer Location: San Diego, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $20 - $23 per hour Reports To: Site Supervisor/Foreman Job Summary The Entry-Level General Laborer will perform a variety of tasks to support construction projects under the direction of experienced crew members. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the construction trade, develop hands-on skills, and grow within a supportive, family-oriented company. No prior experience is required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. Key Responsibilities -Site Preparation and Cleanup: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. -Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas. -Assisting Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, masons, and other skilled workers by providing tools, materials, and basic assistance as directed. -Basic Construction Tasks: Perform tasks such as assisting with demolition or basic framing under supervision. -Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety concerns to the supervisor. -Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. -Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive work environment. Qualifications and Skills -Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. -Experience: No prior construction experience necessary; on-the-job training will be provided. -Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Skills and Attributes: -Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. -Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork. -Basic understanding of construction tools and processes is a plus but not required. -Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively. Requirements: -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. -Must be at least 18 years of age. -Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
