Job Summary: Barton & Gray Mariners Club is revolutionizing the yachting industry with best-in-class hospitality. As an exclusive yachting club, we provide private and memorable outings across 35+ stunning harbors. As we transition into our winter operations, we are seeking a Yacht Cleaner to join our Ship Shape team in our North Stonington Yacht Shop location. This position is temporary with the potential to become permanent, based off of performance. This position offers flexible work hours to better balance personal and professional commitments. Employee is expected to fulfill job duties and all requirements within their negotiated work hours. Responsibilities: - Meticulously inspect and clean yacht cushions and upholstery by thoroughly treating stains, mildew, and dirt. - Utilize various cleaning techniques and equipment including; vacuum cleaners, upholstery cleaners, scrub brushes, and other tools to achieve cleanliness standards. - Perform final inspections to ensure that each cushion is at the standard of quality and placed on their designated yacht for the Florida Winter Season. - Maintain equipment and take inventory of all supplies needed. - Other duties as assigned by the Manager. Required Skills & Abilities: - Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment up to 50 lbs. - Physical stamina during the work day. - Keen attention to detail. - Experience working in a warehouse environment and complying with all safety practices and procedures. - Upholstery cleaning experience is a plus.
