Assist in menu planning, ingredient procurement, and inventory control Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Train and mentor junior kitchen staff Qualifications and must have: Clean DMV, reliable vehicle, willing to drive to events Proven experience as Sous Chef, higher or similar role in high-end restaurants, catering/private chef business. Proven longevity with similar positions or restaurants. 10 years experience cooking in high end restaurants and/or catering. Catering experience is a plus. Must be able and willing to prepare food daily for gigs; this is mostly the position. Master craft in French, American and California cuisine. Basic primal butchery seafood and meats. Know basic French cooking techniques. Basic baking skills. Team player! Positive attitude. Natural leader. Work cleanly.
