We are seeking an EXPERIENCED LEAD LINE COOK to work in Balboa Park at Panama 66. **You MUST be able to work Nights and Weekends** 5 shifts per week. We pay $23-24 an hour and this position earns tips. Tips are on average another $9 an hour. To be considered for this position, you must have been an actual LEAD PREVIOUSLY FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. As a LEAD you are responsible for being a large part of our super service by: Expo-ing!!! Working a station/preparing all food items to order, following recipes and procedures Ensuring all food leaving the kitchen is up to our standards Following all safety and sanitation guidelines Communicating with your Management Team thoroughly Being honest and keeping a calm demeanor Restocking / Prepping items that are/were depleted during the shift Ensuring food is properly stored in containers and storage areas including labeling and dating procedures Performing duties in other areas of the kitchen as required Maintaining and properly using all kitchen equipment including but not exclusive to fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers Supporting the Team whenever needed (e.g, call-outs, catering, etc.) Assisting with the deep cleaning schedule Requirements include: Minimum of 2 years’ restaurant industry experience working on the line ACTUALLY COOKING real food and ONE YEAR OF BEING IN A LEAD POSITION Understanding professional cooking and knife handling skills Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Ability to take direction and work in a team environment Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and Team Members Why Work Here?
