





—Crazyology Studios —Compensation: $35/hour —Employment Type: Part-time —Experience Level: Mid level —Job Title: 3D Printing Technician —Location: West Oakland David Normal's Crazyology Studios is looking for a 3D Printing Technician to assist with 3D printing sculptures, sculptural elements, and fabrication tools. We are an art studio in West Oakland producing large format, interactive sculptural installations. This is a part-time position with flexible hours for someone local to West Oakland with maker skills and an interest in immersive and interactive art projects. We are looking for someone who can conduct regular maintenance and repair on our 3D printers to keep them running continually. Our emphasis is on large art prints produced quickly, not precision engineering. You will be working mostlyt with Elegoo Orangestorm Giga, but also Bambu P1S. Electronic skills, mechanical skills, programming (experience with Klipper firmware), 3D modeling, and general technical and artistic acumen. You will be expected to communicate with printer company tech support and online printing forums for troubleshooting purposes. The 3D printing is for creating interactive space cat statues, Cathenge, as well as other forthcoming projects. Crazyology is an art studio with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary, immersive and interactive projects created in the confluence of traditional arts and advanced technology. This job requires the ability to work independently to manage the print lab and keep the machines and the productions up and running, as well as collaboratively with David Normal. This position is ideal for someone who is excited to work in art-centered environments. Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem solving will be required to excel at Crazyology Studios.
