Join Our Team as a Case Manager – Serving Native Communities Location: Eureka, CA Pay: $22.00 – $26.00/hour Status: Full-time, Non-exempt Supervisor: Chief Executive Officer Empower Native Communities Through Meaningful Work At the Northern California Indian Development Council (NCIDC), we are deeply rooted in the traditions, values, and resilience of Native peoples. We proudly serve over 14,000 Native American clients annually, supporting their journeys toward self-sufficiency and community well-being. As a Case Manager, you will be helping individuals and families access employment, training, and holistic support services that honor their identities and aspirations. Why This Role Matters • Culturally Grounded Service: Help Native clients overcome barriers while respecting tribal traditions, values, and community dynamics • Connection to Land and People: Work on California’s beautiful North Coast, with travel to tribal communities • Community Engagement: Build meaningful relationships with tribal leaders, Native organizations, and local employers • Growth and Learning: Develop skills in workforce development, social services, and culturally responsive program management Your Responsibilities • Conduct culturally sensitive assessments and guide clients through job search and placement • Develop personalized plans that reflect each client’s goals and tribal context • Collaborate with employers to create opportunities that reflect the client’s goals • Coordinate regional program activities and analyze labor market trends • Maintain accurate records, submit reports, and represent NCIDC at tribal and community meetings • Support emergency services and relevant assistance programs What You Bring • AA degree (or higher) in Business, Psychology, Sociology, or related field • 2+ years of case management experience (or 4+ years without a degree) • Strong communication, cultural humility, and organizational skills • Familiarity with Native American communities, tribal governments, and public agencies • Comfortable with Word, Excel, and basic internet tools Our Culture and Commitment • Inclusive, respectful, and culturally affirming workplace • Native American hiring preference in accordance with Indian Preference policies • Supportive leadership and team environment • Opportunities to travel, attend tribal gatherings, and participate in conferences Ready to make a difference?
