Balance total for each groups payment collected and deposit in safe with accompanying printout & initials. Facilitate assigned groups according to program outline via workbook and training Document group notes immediately following each group. Complete monthly progress notes for each participant in group no later than the third Saturday of each month. Attend required clinical training and staff meetings. Complete minimum required qualification training within two years of employment. Complete minimum 32 hours continued education each year following qualification Answer questions on the phone or in person with regard to program policies and procedures for participants. Other tasks as assigned. YOUTH BASKETBALL COACH — WINTER 2026 (TEMPORARY / SEASONAL) Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) January 2026 – March 2026 OVERVIEW The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is seeking enthusiastic and experienced basketball coaches for our youth program this winter. Applicants should have basketball coaching experience and/or strong basketball knowledge and experience working with children ages 5–12 years. The JCCSF youth sports philosophy, “Redefine the Score,” focuses on developing both sport-specific and life skills in a positive, fun atmosphere. RESPONSIBILITIES Create team goals aligned with JCCSF youth sports values. Plan and lead practices and games emphasizing skill development and positive reinforcement. Be consistently present for weekday practices and weekend games. Coach during game days: set lineups, make substitutions, and apply age-appropriate strategies. Learn and follow league rules and expectations. Communicate effectively with players, parents, other coaches, and supervisors. Perform other duties as needed. REQUIREMENTS Experience working with children ages 5–12. Knowledge of basketball fundamentals; prior youth coaching experience preferred. Familiarity with early childhood development is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable transportation to program locations. Availability for practices, games, trainings, and meetings throughout the season. WORKING CONDITIONS Indoor gym setting. Practices and games are held Monday–Sunday, typically between 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for long periods. Lift up to 25 lbs.
