Job Summary: Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) is currently seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our EMV department at our Bolingbrook manufacturing facility. We have two shifts open; 2nd shift operates Monday through Friday from 3pm-11pm, and 3rd shift operates Monday through Friday 11pm-7am with regular opportunities for overtime. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Operate EMV machines during production, ensuring products are manufactured within established parameters. Understand and execute the entire range of machine functions and operating sequences. Load materials onto machines in the required order and sequence. Read job specifications and previous run data to set machine parameters and material requirements. Perform maintenance following proper Lockout/Tag-out procedures. Meet or exceed job standards for line speeds, scrap rates, and setup times. Load and unload stock efficiently and safely. Maintain department inventory and supplies, ensuring everything is accounted for. Report any maintenance needs to the Maintenance Department promptly. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product specifications are met. Complete all required documentation and data entry accurately and in a timely manner. Engage in ongoing training opportunities to support a continuous quality improvement environment. Verify material conformance to specifications using measuring devices such as micrometers, tape measures and calipers. Verify that guards at pinch points and potential burn areas are present before operating the machine. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the highest quality standards. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures, taking immediate action to correct safety and security issues. Ensure the operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions when necessary. Required Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience operating production machines in a manufacturing environment. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 and normal color perception. Strong verbal and written communication in English. Ability to focus and perform precision hand movements when operating machinery. Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds and work safely around machinery. The pay for this position starts at $18 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus. Job Summary: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all card personalization and fulfillment equipment. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all factory support equipment. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager. First shift runs from 5:30 am - 1:30 pm and third shift runs 11 pm -7 am Monday through Friday. Job Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair all card personalization and fulfillment equipment. Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in electronic equipment, perform tests, and follow technical manuals to ensure proper functioning. Fabricate replacement parts when necessary. Perform preventative maintenance on all card personalization / fulfillment equipment and support equipment. Work with machine operator to identify and resolve issues with setup and job files. Work with IT to identify and resolve machine communications related issues. Implement programs to increase OEE. Utilize KPI's to improve equipment uptime and decrease downtime. Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of repairs, tests and inspections, and document processes for future reference. Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of process controls. Job Specifications: Must physically be able to bend, stretch, and stoop, but not limited to only these physical activities. Requires lifting of 40 lbs. or more without aid. Requires normal hand, eye and walking coordination. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed. Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of Electro/Mechanical Course from a recognized Technical Institute is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in general maintenance (multimeters, soldering stations, precision screwdrivers, rotary tools). Required Skills & Knowledge: Requires a strong working knowledge of electronics and pneumatic systems. Must possess the ability to read and understand electrical/pneumatic schematics. Must possess the ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Must possess an excellent knowledge of basic hand tools. Must possess strong mathematics and computer skills. The pay for this position starts at $28 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus. Differential/Power Dividers – Diagnose, remove, rebuild and reinstallation, as necessary. • Starters/Alternators – Diagnose, remove, repair, and replace as censer. • Air Conditioning Systems – Trained/Certified, diagnose electrical and mechanical defects, repair, component replacement, evaluation, and charging. Fan Clutches – Diagnose, remove, rebuild and reinstallation, as necessary. • Power Steering Systems - Diagnose, adjust, and repair, as necessary. • Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems – Diagnose, remove, rebuild, reinstallation, and adjustment, as necessary. Brake certified. • Clutches – Diagnose, remove and reinstallation, as necessary. • PTO Systems – Installation of PTO System and related hydraulic components. Diagnose, remove rebuild and reinstallation and adjustment, as necessary. • Tires – Remove, install and algin chassis. • Engine Electronics (Gas and Diesel) – adjust and repair, as necessary. Working Conditions: • Work outdoors in different weather conditions. • Exposure to used cooking oil odors. Specific Duties: Technician I Employees perform the following functions with no assistance: • Perform all levels of preventative maintenance • Identify and determine parts require for repair of disassembled units • Identify warrantable repairs and document appropriately • Maintain work area appearance and safety • Road test vehicles as necessary • Performance and prospective duties in a timely and efficient matter • All duties of lower job classifications. • Follow all safety rules and procedures. • Fully participate and support all safety initiatives. • Think safety and continually scan the work environment; make suggestions for corrections and improvements. • Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to lift, push or pull up to at least 50 lbs. • Ability to provide the above major functions, specific duties and with the experience listed above. • Good driving record. • Ability to drive manual 8- and/or 10 and or 13 transmissions preferred. • Ability to drive automatic transmissions and use of PTO. • Computer skills.
