HMI (A division of The Management Trust) Position Title: EMS Technician  Location: Livermore/Dublin, CA Reporting To: VP of Operations Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time Salary: $31.00 - $40.00/Hourly DOE EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE: We are an established, low-turnover residential construction company seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Construction Technician with strong drywall experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in various trades including framing, stucco, painting, flooring, and demolition, with some knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems considered a plus. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform field activities that include demolition (removal of drywall, insulation, carpet, carpet pad, etc.) cleaning, emergency services, structural drying. Respond with urgency to all assigned emergency water calls. Set up and operate restoration equipment such as moisture detectors, dehumidifiers, air-movers, etc. Use company software to document all job information and completed work. ClimateMakers HVAC Service Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the service department to ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role oversees service technicians, coordinates daily schedules, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and acts as the primary liaison between customers, technicians, and company leadership. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate service technicians and support staff. Approve timecards, manage departmental expenses, and control inventory. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all service work adheres to local, state, and federal codes, as well as company standards. Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety meetings. Stay current with HVAC industry trends, certifications, and regulations. Qualifications: 5+ years of HVAC service experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or management role. Strong technical knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Business acumen with understanding of P&L, KPIs, and budgeting. EPA Universal Certification (preferred). Valid driver’s license with clean record. Performance Metrics (KPIs): Customer satisfaction and retention rates. Service revenue growth and profitability. Technician productivity and first-time fix rates. Reduction of callbacks and warranty claims. Employee retention and training progress. Company benefits discussed at initial interview.
