Responsibilities Perform structural design and analysis tasks for projects, including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a senior engineer Prepare contract documents for bridge design projects, including design calculations, developments of plans, specifications, quantities, and estimates, and submittal of reviews during construction Prepare detailed plans for assigned bridge engineering tasks Occasional field site visits Requirements BS in Civil Engineering required, MS in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred EIT Certification preferred One to four years of experience MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience preferred Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Code Requirements, familiarity with local market design and detail requirements preferred Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production of bridge projects following Federal, State, and local standards, in particular, FHWA-FL, NPS, CDOT, CCD, and Colorado Springs. Experience in CA, WA, or OR considered a plus. Familiarity with Structural Engineering and Analysis software Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative, team environments Benefits Salary range – $80,000 – $105,000 annually. FHU is seeking an experienced construction project engineer for our Greenwood Village and Fort Collins offices with strong transportation construction project experience to act as owners’ representatives for our state D.O.T. and local municipal clients on their construction projects.    Duties and Responsibilities Primary duties and responsibilities are listed below; other duties may be assigned.
