An ideal candidate for this company would possess the following skills and experience: • 2+ years cook experience, preferably in a correctional, school or institutional setting. • Experience meal planning, inventory and ordering of food and cleaning supplies. • Cleaning including, washing dishes, cleaning refrigerators, stove, bins, cupboards and other kitchen equipment and utensils; and sweeping and mopping kitchen floors. • Supervise food line. • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen area by regularly cleaning countertops, floors, equipment, and other surfaces. • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness to ensure the safety of both staff and residents. • Ability to work with the incarcerated population. Line Cook/Grill Cook - This position is a vital member of the client's kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking specific dishes or working a designated station during service. They follow recipes, manage food preparation, cook items to order, and ensure proper plating and timely delivery of food to the customer. Dishwasher - Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes. Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware by hand or using a dishwasher. Load and unload dishwashing machines. Sort and store cleaned items. Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards. Kitchen Maintenance: Keep the dish area clean, orderly, and free of clutter. Maintain clean, dry floors throughout the shift. Set up dish stations, including dishwashing machines and sinks. Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces. Remove trash and maintain loading and receiving areas in a safe and clean condition. Stock plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after cleaning.
