Performs related tasks as assigned. Requirements / Qualifications • Completed Application. • Be available for work as early as 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Education: • Equivalent to graduation from high school. • Documentation of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Paraeducator Examination or 48 semester units or equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree or you may take the NCLB test at the District Office. Desirable: • Technical or college level course work or training dealing with Special Education students needs. Experience: • Required: Equivalent experience working/volunteering with Special Education Students in an academic, social, emotional or functional instructional environment.

We use the Evidence Based Literacy Instruction (EBLI) approach to empower learners with efficient, effective reading, spelling, and writing skills. Position Overview: We are seeking caring, motivated, and reliable tutors to provide in-person, one-on-one literacy tutoring using the EBLI approach. Applicants must be trained in EBLI (Evidence Based Literacy Instruction). Those not yet trained may enroll in the EBLI training program. Responsibilities: One-on-one tutoring using the EBLI approach. Communicate progress with parents/guardians in a clear, supportive manner. Complete the onboarding process for new students with DSOC Travel within the Denver metro area for in-person sessions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience working with children or students with reading challenges. Once you have completed the online orientation and first five activities, you may begin working with students. Continue with training as you tutor students.
