Full job description We are looking for a dependable/flexible full-time driver in the NORTHERN VIRGINIA AREAS with proven work ethics and strong interpersonal skills to transport wheelchair, non-wheelchair, and stretcher passengers to their medical appointments. Additionally, we provide a steady full-time bed-to-bed service. ***NEMT MEDICAL DRIVER*** Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, MVR screening, background check & pre-employment drug screening Report to work on time and in proper provided uniform. Must have professional driving experience. Maintain a strong attendance and timeliness record. Safely operate a wheelchair passenger transportation vehicle. Must be patient during necessary contact with clients, and their caregivers. Must be reliable, capable of working independently, and remaining calm in the event of an emergency. Must be able to drive for extended periods of time and long-distance trips while maintaining company standards. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be capable of driving in inclement weather. Must be flexible to work early morning, mid-morning, and late evening hours. Must be flexible for on-call rotations after hours, holidays, and weekends. Duties/Responsibilities: * Pick up clients at home or other living facilities. Provide the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers. * Transport clients to area hospitals and other authorized clinics. * Ensures wheelchairs and passengers are properly secured before starting vehicle for transport. * On arrival at a medical facility, assists clients in exiting the vehicle and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas. * Check the vehicle to ensure cleanliness, professionalism, and attention to detail. * Follow company safety and operational policies and procedures. * Ability to operate mobile devices, and operate company GPS units. * Perform pre/post-vehicle inspection and maintenance checks. * Follow safety protocol during loading and unloading procedures. * Communicate transport details with dispatch in a dynamic environment. * Possess a friendly and courteous attitude when transporting clients. * Other functions may be assigned as necessary. Education and Experience: * Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record. * Fluency in English required. * Satisfactory completion of a company training in passenger assistance techniques, or demonstrated competence based on previous employment experience. Visual surface quality inspections are often performed under 100 watt bulb in low lit room. Although the location of the position is in Newton, NJ, from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations.    Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to: Introduction to visual and mechanical measurement of parts using metrology devices such as eye loupes, microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
