Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Post Production Assistant to join our team. The Post Production Assistant will provide essential support to the post-production team, assisting with various tasks to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects. Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation, execution, and filing of contracts, and ensure timely payments to contractors and suppliers. Manage and maintain digital assets, post-production supplies, project files, media libraries, archives, and databases, ensuring that all resources are readily available and organized. Provide comprehensive administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, handling correspondence, and coordinating activities among post-production staff such as editors and sound designers to facilitate a smooth workflow. Assist with quality control checks to ensure all deliverables conform to project specifications and quality standards, and meet deadlines. Assist with a variety of other post-production tasks as needed to support project completion and team objectives. Requirements Bachelor’s or higher degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or related field. Previous experience in post-production or a related role is preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Basic knowledge of post-production workflow and software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve. From fast-paced hockey games to unforgettable concerts, you’ll be behind the lens capturing the energy, excitement, and moments fans don’t want to miss. Key Responsibilities Operate cameras expertly to deliver high-quality live footage for events Collaborate with the Technical Director and Video Engineer to set up and connect cameras with the Production Control Room or Remote Production Truck Adjust camera movements and settings based on the direction of the Technical Director to ensure optimal shot composition and framing Work alongside the Show Director and fellow Camera Operators to coordinate camera placement and operation throughout the event Assist with camera setup and maintenance, including checking equipment, adjusting settings, and troubleshooting any issues Ensure adherence to safety protocols while contributing to a professional atmosphere Ability to work event schedule including evenings, nights and weekends Requirements Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a camera operator in broadcast production, focusing on live events Experience with PTZ camera operations and shading Familiarity with current broadcast industry standards; previous experience with BSWA is a plus Proficient in operating various types of cameras including studio/remote production cameras Adept in camera movements, including zoom, tilt, pan, focus, and dolly techniques Understanding of shot composition and framing techniques Strong computer skills along with a creative eye for detail Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure live event environments Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate as part of a team Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical requirements include the ability to work in high-noise environments and lift up to 50 lbs regularly Application Deadline: Open until filled; Benefits Part-time position: hours vary based on event schedule Scheduling - EMPLOYEES PICK THE EVENT SHIFTS (DAYS & TIMES) THEY ARE ABLE TO WORK !!!! Responsibilities: Budgeting & Financial Management Partner with Producers to create, manage, and track detailed production budgets. Monitor expenditures, maintain organized documentation of all receipts and invoices. Prepare and present clear, comprehensive cost reports after production. Identify opportunities to consolidate and share resources across projects to optimize costs. Logistics & Pre-Production Coordination Scout, negotiate, and secure filming locations. Onboard, prepare, and support production teams during setup. Coordinate shared resources (locations, catering, equipment rentals, etc.) across projects. Successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects running concurrently. Vendor, Cast & Crew Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, cast, and crew during pre-production. Work closely with Producers to arrange schedules, equipment, and staffing. Negotiate bundled deals with vendors across multiple projects to maximize efficiency. Production Oversight & Handover Ensure smooth and well-documented handover to the on-set production team (LP, UPM, PAs). Provide clear instructions and guidance to on-set teams. Remain available to handle emergencies or production challenges remotely. Wrap & Post-Production Oversee wrap procedures and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately. Manage and support the UPM, Production Designer, and Costume teams in finalizing cost reports. Ensure all reporting aligns with accounting standards and producer requirements. Requirements Proven experience as a Line Producer or Supervising Line Producer in film, television, or digital media productions, preferably in vertical shorts. Strong background in production budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent negotiation skills and experience in securing favorable vendor and location deals. Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with producers, vendors, cast, and crew. Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve problems efficiently. Familiarity with wrap and post-production financial requirements. Preferred Skills Experience with union and non-union productions. Familiarity with production accounting software and reporting tools. Knowledge of industry-standard budgeting practices and cost-saving strategies. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment. Benefits This is a project-based contract position, with compensation ranging from USD 4,000 to 4,500 per project.
