JOB SUMMARY Prince Industries is currently seeking an experience Powder Coater Painter for our Batavia, IL location. This role is on first shift from 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday. The Powder Coater/Painter performs daily routine tasks in the Paint Line area by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, gloves, lifting guidelines, interlocks, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned. Relies on specific instructions and pre-existing guidelines to perform functions of the job. Carefully reviews and follows all special powder coating instructions. Loads and unloads materials or parts from paint line to specified area. Examines workpiece and dislodges or removes debris from objects. Fills tanks with water or acid to specified level. Mask and Plug parts that require based on the print that calls them out. Handles parts in order to maintain surface finish and part integrity. Measures or weighs out and pours specified quantity of chemical into large tank containers. Completes all necessary and required paperwork as relates to the job. (i.e. tags). Carefully places, lays or stack objects when coming off paint line. Moves finished containers of painted parts to the next designated operation. Transports materials to and from designated location using pallet jack or other authorized moving equipment as needed. Maintains good housekeeping in assigned work area. Works under direct supervision of lead man and plant supervisor. Understands and follows Prince Industries quality certifications (i.e. ISO, QS) as relates to position. Works effectively with all department personnel and co-workers in a harmonious and cooperative manner to meet the needs and goals established by the company. Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by department supervisor and may include department transfers to meet production needs. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 5+ Years of Paint / Powder Coating experience in a machine shop environment preferred. High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Required to perform repetitive hand work for the duration of 8–10-hour shift daily. Required to sit or stand the duration of shift. Required to walk, bend, reach, stoop or kneel. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Regularly may lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in which 20/20 or corrected vision to 20/20 vision is required. The noise level in the work environment is generally loud, in which hearing protection is required. This role is responsible for priming and inspecting fabricated steel materials, organizing and staging materials for delivery, and supporting overall shop and yard operations. Key responsibilities include moving finished materials to the paint booth, applying primer, ensuring quality and proper labeling, and coordinating with team leads to meet production and shipping schedules. The ideal candidate will also assist in unloading incoming materials, maintaining clean and organized work areas, loading trailers, and providing general labor support as needed. This is a hands-on role requiring strong teamwork, time management, and a proactive approach to daily tasks in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Move finished material from fab area to paint booth Prime all fabricated material Quality control of primed material Ensure material is labeled with part number and job name Clean, organize, and maintain paint booth and equipment Band up finished material and put in the yard for delivery or on slab for crew to pick up Work with foreman and leadman on schedule for when primed material needs to be ready to ship Help unload in coming material for steel shop and yard Work with the yard to make sure steel shop material and yard materials are staged together and ready for delivery Help with putting away returned material to keep staging areas clean and organized Help load finished materials on trailers Assist with general labor in the shop with rebar and making parts if there is no material to prime or yard to organize Skills & Abilities Basic knowledge of painting and priming techniques Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Forklift experience (Preferred) Ability to lift and move heavy materials on an as-needed basis Benefits Competitive hourly pay Annual incentive/profit sharing bonus ESOP (Yearly stock allocation) PTO Health, Dental, Vision Insurance

Requirements Must have (6 mos - 1 years) or more years experience as a marine brush and roll painter applying epoxy and non-epoxy coatings. Experience is also required in accomplishing cleaning to SSPC-SP-3 and SSPC-SP-11 standards using power tools. Experience working in a physically demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heights, and use of half-face and full-face respiratory equipment. Ability to use power tools to accomplish cleaning. This will be 40 hours+ during the normal Monday - Friday work week, including weekends.
