This position involves packing plastic bags coming off the machine, inspecting them to ensure they meet specifications, and keeping the work area clean and organized. During production, the packer must check the bag’s weight, size, seal quality, and hole placement, and save samples for quality control. Responsibilities also include assembling boxes, applying labels, cutting cardboard inserts, and Performing film roll changes when needed. No experience required – training will be provided. Shift: 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Pay: $20.00 per hour Temp - to - Hire Position Description: QC Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on packaged materials, and finished goods per approved methods, procedures and specifications. Incoming packaging inspectors interface with purchasing and packaging engineer and in some cases customers and vendors to resolve quality issues with incoming packaging. Finished goods inspectors interact with all levels of production management in assuring that finished goods meet required quality standards. Perform inspections of packaging and/ or finished goods Document inspections, provide dispositions on results of inspections. Issue QMR’s (questionable material report) as required. Assist management in troubleshooting quality problems. Participate in customer audits. Requirements: Preferred experience: related industry (cosmetic, food, pharmaceuticals) experience in the quality function. Minimum Acceptable: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
