Kumi Construction Management Corporation is seeking an Environmental/Stream Inspector to provide the following services: RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform site visits to inspect facilities and projects for compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and ordinances. • Perform detailed site assessments, using methods like photo documentation to track changes over time, • Oversee construction activities, such as grading, plantings, and in-stream structure installation, to ensure that the natural stream functions are restored effectively • Assess key features such as vegetation and erosion, and using protocols to monitor restoration progress against pre-restoration conditions. • Providing guidance during construction near or within the boundaries of wetlands, streams, and other environmentally/culturally sensitive areas and habitats • Documenting compliance with the conditions of any environmental permit required by federal, state, and local agencies. • Maintaining daily and weekly status reports and providing these reports to the project manager and/or agency officials as requested. • Investigate reports of suspected violations, illegal dumping, or pollution incidents. • Inform individuals and organizations of their non-compliance, explain corrective actions, and participate in enforcing environmental laws and ordinances. • Prepare daily summaries, site diagrams, and comprehensive reports for submission to supervisors and online reporting systems. • Educate the public, businesses, and other stakeholders on environmental regulations and best practices. • Prepare and adhere to health and safety plans and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. • Proficiency with environmental sampling equipment, monitoring devices, and data management tools. • Analyze technical data and interpret environmental regulations. • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information and findings. • Maintain records and managing fieldwork. • Familiar with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
