Additionally, as mandated under Executive order 12989, H2 is required to verify employment eligibility of selected candidates through the Department of Labor’s - E-Verify.   H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a Senior Software Lifecycle and Licensing Analyst. ​The Analyst will support the Department of the Navy with various products and solutions, such as IBM Cognos, VMWare, Adobe, Oracle, and RedHat . This role will work to optimize the user experience with products and advise clients on which software they may need to meet mission requirements.    The Senior Software Lifecycle and Licensing Analyst responsibilities will include: ​Demonstrate the ability to evaluate customer requirements and map them to the appropriate solution and corresponding licensing models. Evaluation of minimum and recommended hardware requirements, including virtual versus physical hardware specifications, hardware/software compatibility constraints, hardware and software lifecycle management, and other critical dependencies. Expertly evaluate and recommend solutions to address key system dependencies and customer requirements. Advise customers in planning the purchase of appropriate software and licensing to optimize desired capability and balance cost with budgetary constraints. Assist with the development of software roadmaps. A software roadmap is a consolidated report of vendor specific software product release and maintenance schedules, licensing and support models, reporting requirements, and compliancy requirements. Develop and maintain information technology software roadmaps as well as conduct a thorough analysis of operational impacts, baseline impacts, obsolescence analysis, and identify future software capabilities which includes the associated benefits to the government. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Minimum Secret Clearance. Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience required. Subject matter expertise with computer hardware platforms including an in-depth ability to interpret CPU/RAM/Storage and other hardware specifications related to client and server hardware. Experience working with various soft client-based and server-based hardware as well as an understanding of virtualized and cloud-based solutions. Experience managing licensing for a large enterprise is desirable, as this role will require detailed analysis of vendor licensing models which can often be quite complicated. Familiarity with on-prem versus cloud-based solutions and an understanding of network bandwidth requirements for software deployments.  Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, plus an understanding of current and emergent technologies.
