Saalex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer with expertise in performance tools development to join our dynamic team. Position Type: Full-Time/Contingent Salary: $80K-$250K (depending on experience) Work Location: This is a remote position. Essential Functions: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and sustaining subsystem and software components, specializing in XML, SCORM, SGML, and meeting DoD software requirements. This role involves creating robust and efficient software solutions to support operational and training needs, with a focus on performance optimization. The candidate will analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to implement optimal information technology tools for performance and training support Work with and help evolve toolkits allowing NAWCAD WOLF to provide highly-tailored solutions to its customers with high reliability, rapid fielding, decreased content development/integration costs, and reduced life cycle sustainment costs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Work with computer software developers, content developers, PMS experts, designers, and network stakeholders to integrate software systems and develop specifications and implement functional requirements. Develop and manage XML, SCORM content, and Microsoft automations associated with COMET performance-support solutions, both working individually and coordinating development as part of a team. Act as the key software architect for core COMET IETM and ICW products. Other duties as assigned or required. Requirements Required: Minimum seven years of experience required At least seven years of experience within the last 10 years is required in support of developing and sustaining subsystem and software components. Concurrently, at least six years of experience is required in support of SGML, XML, or development of database queries or transformation of unstructured data into standards based structured data formats. Concurrently, at least three years of experience is required in support of developing solutions distributed to U.S. Navy ashore and afloat users through DoD infrastructure. Concurrently, at least two years of experience is required in support of developing solutions incorporating or integrating with SCORM, xAPI, S1000D, or other military training/IETM formatted data. Specific required experience may be concurrent. BA/BS degree in an Computer Science/IT, or Technical discipline and 7 years of experience, OR AA/AS degree and 11 years of experience, OR HS Diploma/GED and 13 years of experience Desired Certifications: DoD Military Training in: A-150-1980 or A-150-1202 or A-150-1203 or A-150-1250 or WSS 011 or WSS 012 OR CGRC or SecurityX or Cloud+ or PenTest+ or Security+ or GSEC.
