You will be working alone and/or with our team of experienced carpenters. Busy full service mechanic shop in Hastings On Hudson looking for an experienced A level mechanic. Candidate must be able to complete common repairs and tasks without assistance using their own tools. Responsibilities include general service and repair, brake & suspension work & diagnostics, electrical, computer & check engine light diagnostics, engine work & diagnostics on a wide range of makes and models. Must have own tool box and full set of tools. Knowledge of scan tool diagnostics and reading wiring diagrams are required. Must have drivers license. Communication, basic math, attention to detail, and reliability are all required skills. Candidate must be willing to learn and provide customer satisfaction. Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. Paid vacation days after 6 months of employment, closed on all major holidays. Pay: $25-$35 an hour (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE). Work environment provides room to grow. As a Technician, you will be responsible for: - Masking and cleaning cabinet doors and drawers both in the shop and in Customers' homes - Use HVLP and airless equipment to spray our coatings - Transporting cabinet doors and drawers - Installing and adjusting cabinet hinges - Installing and adjusting drawer box glides - Cleaning and sanding frames - Maintaining and cleaning tools - Using waterborne and shellac based paints and stains To qualify for this position you must have: - Previous experience masking, painting, staining and/or spraying cabinets (required) - Previous experience installing/adjusting door hinges and drawer box glides (highly desired) - High attention to detail - A valid driver’s license, insurance and vehicle - Clean driving record - Willingness to take something old and make it look brand new again
