Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to vehicle service, ensuring that all work performed meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Duties Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues with vehicles. Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including powertrain, transmissions, and automotive electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks. Work with schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems. Execute alignment services and other vehicle adjustments as needed. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with Service Advisor as well as clients about their vehicle's needs. Assist in auto estimating for repairs and services required on vehicles. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Qualifications Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, preferably with dealership experience. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including familiarity with vehicles is a plus. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques. Experience working with automotive electrical systems and performing welding tasks is desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications or training in automotive service are preferred but not mandatory.
