Job Summary: Skillfully operate and maintain excavator and backhoe on earthwork and underground utility projects. Duties: Ability to safely and proficiently operate excavators and backhoes on various terrains • Familiarity with earthmoving, underground utility trenching and underground best practices and principles. Knowledge of waterworks, water main line installation and repairs, sewer mainline installation and repairs, septic tank installs and repairs. • Operate other types of standard heavy civil construction equipment • Various general labor tasks • Thorough equipment inspections and maintenance • Basic fueling and lubricating of equipment. Work Effectively with supervisors, foreman and peers to operate heavy equipment • 3 years of Construction labor and Equipment operating such as: • Excavators • Loaders • Caterpillar D1 Dozer • Backhoe • Skip Loader • Assist in initial setup and cleanup of worksite • Attend and participate in weekly & Monthly Safety Meetings • Conditions of Employment: Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check.
