JOB SUMMARY A Finishing Technician performs deburring, buffing, polishing, tumbling, and sandblast operations to parts, typically after all machining operations are complete. The Finishing Technician is responsible for following established procedures and part recipes and performs visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality. Second Shift: 3:00pm - 1:00am Monday - Thursday   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Handle all products with care to prevent damage. Perform manual deburring and finishing tasks safely using hand tools and buffing wheels. Operate tumblers and blasting equipment following documented procedures. Ensure that safety regulations are adhered to. Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by department supervisor. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Experience with manual deburring preferred. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions. REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Ability to perform precise, delicate tasks using small hand tools. Ability to perform visual inspections and use measuring tools. Ability to work with minimal supervision. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend. Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work. Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
