What You’ll Be Doing Based on similar job postings and standard duties in nursing homes: Assist in the preparation and portioning of meals and snacks, following dietary requirements and meal schedules. Serve meals, deliver trays to residents, ensuring correct meals are given according to diet orders. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen, dining, and serving areas: wash dishes, clean equipment, sweep/mop floors, clear dining tables, etc. Stock supplies and ingredients; assist in inventory management. Follow all food safety, infection control, and health department guidelines. Assist dietary manager / cooks as needed with meal prep tasks. Key duties include conducting physical assessments, performing diagnostic screenings, administering treatments, maintaining accurate medical documentation, and responding to on-site medical emergencies. Participate in suicide watch procedures, including direct monitoring, timely documentation, and mental health referrals.
