We have a new opening for a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks: Duties may include but are not limited to: • Carry out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients, as directed by the physical therapist. Under supervision, administer such treatment as exercise, gait training, massage, whirlpool, hot packs, diathermy, ultrasound, paraffin, ice packs and traction. Instruct patients on segments of the program including proper use of wheelchairs, crutches, braces, and prosthetic appliances and devices. • Administer traction to relieve neck and back pain, using intermittent and static traction equipment. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities. • Observe patients during treatments and compile and evaluate data on patients' responses to treatments and progress and report orally or in writing to the physical therapist. • Fit patients for, adjust, and train patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. • Confer with members of the physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs. Coordinate with other departments and the clinic staff to provide complete care to patients.   Additional Duties: • Provide orientation, clinical direction and instruction to new physical therapy assistants and physical therapy aides. • Perform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, filling out forms, scheduling patients, and staffing the reception area. Maintain and care for department equipment and supplies and storage. Maintain department records and files in accordance with facility policies. Perform coding of patient encounters and workload. • Measure patient's range-of-joint motion, length and girth of body parts, and vital signs to determine effects of specific treatments or to assist physical therapist to compile data for patient evaluations. • Monitor treatments administered by physical therapy aides Schedule: Monday - Friday  6:00am - 4:00pm - 8, 9 or 10 hour shifts depending on the department's needs No Holidays or Weekends! Requirements Minimum Qualifications: • Degree: Associates degree. • Education: Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). • Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of post-grad clinical experience within the last 5 years as a physical therapy assistant. • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapy assistant or possess current certification as a physical therapy assistant/technician as determined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). • Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification. • Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance. Now seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time position at the Naval Medical Center (NMC) at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties for the LCSW include but are not limited to the following:  • Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services. • Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team. • Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds. • Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology. • Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals. • Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification. • Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment. • Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the facility. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8.5 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch No Weekends, No Holidays  Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Education:  Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW). Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Experience: Must have at least one year of post-grad experience in the last three years as a social worker License:  Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from any state.  -- Please identify state of licensure.
