Internship Learning Opportunities Include: Field Work: Gain practical experience in conducting fieldwork and data collection. This may include tasks like traffic count data collection, infrastructure condition surveys, and qualitative and quantitative traffic operations evaluations. Project Team Collaboration: Contribute to project teams, participating in technical analyses and written documentation. Projects encompass a range of areas, including traffic impact studies, corridor studies, transportation safety analyses, bicycle and pedestrian plans, areawide transportation plans, and traffic design tasks. Research Opportunities: Engage in research on various transportation operations and planning topics. Explore different facets of the industry and develop a deeper understanding of key issues. Client Interaction: Play a supporting role in presentations and explore opportunities to observe and learn from client-facing aspects of consulting to enhance your communication skills. Requirements Internship Qualifications Undergraduate (Junior or higher status) or Graduate student in Civil Engineering, Field work experience preferred Strong computer skills Strong mathematics, verbal and written communication skills Available for 3-month timeframe Preferred Skills Previous coursework in transportation field Working knowledge of and interest in transportation operations and planning Benefits The pay for this position starts at $23.00 per hour.
