We are currently hiring for experienced and entry level Driller's Assistants for environmental and geotechnical drilling projects. Duties • Assist lead driller with all drilling operations, including but not limited to, collection of soil and rock core samples, installation of monitoring wells and decommissioning wells. • Assisting in maintenance of drill rigs, support vehicles and equipment. • Loading and unloading supplies for daily drilling activities. • Operation of miscellaneous equipment such as jackhammers, generators, pumps, pressure washers, etc. • Other duties as assigned by the lead driller. Salary Range: $20-$22 per hour The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. Requirements • Some mechanical and electrical aptitude and desire to troubleshoot equipment a plus. • Valid NYS driver license. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Ability to regularly lift and move 80 pounds. • Ability to work outdoors assisting drill rig operations in all weather conditions year-round. • Electrical, plumbing and construction experience a PLUS. • 10 hr. and 40 hr. HAZWOPER training preferred but not required because we can provide training. • OSHA 10 hr. or 30 hr. construction safety training preferred, but not required, we can provide training. • Experience with operation of heavy equipment is a plus.
