Senior QE Automation Engineer Location: Dallas, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland, USA Workplace Type: Hybrid About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated QE Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a QE Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our data processing and analytics platforms. You will work closely with developers, data scientists, and product managers to identify and resolve defects, improve test coverage, and enhance the overall quality of our products. This role requires a strong background in software testing, automation, and data technologies, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Python, Spark, and Hadoop. Execute automated and manual tests to identify defects and ensure the quality of software releases. Collaborate with developers and data scientists to understand requirements and develop effective test strategies. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on defects and test coverage. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies. Develop and maintain test data sets to support testing activities. Work with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Mentor junior QE engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering. Strong proficiency in Python programming. Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools. Hands-on experience with Spark and Hadoop. Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
