If you are older than 40, please do not apply** We are conducting a study on neural activity following substance use. To participate, you must be right-handed, have used cigarettes and/or used e-cigarettes (e.g., a Juul or other nicotine vape) on a nondaily basis in the past month, and have no metal in your body. Evening / weekend scheduling and assistance with transportation are available. If eligible based on a 20 minute pre-screening and 1 hour interview, participation will include two 5-6 hour visits to the lab, and 2 follow-up phone interviews. You may earn up to $400 for full completion of all study components. Each visit will involve: • Tests and questionnaires to measure thinking abilities and decision making • An MRI at the OHSU Advanced Imaging Research Center • Before each MRI scan, you will consume a legal, non-prescription substance at a dosage proven safe for human consumption. Hearing Study (Non-Invasive) Location: Eatontown, NJ, and New York City, NY Age Range: 18+ Sex: Male/Female Stipend: Up to $325 or $800 per cycle Study Schedule: The study plans to complete multiple cycles of testing over the next year. You may be asked to complete one or multiple cycles of testing. Some cycles may consist of only one on-site appointment, while others may require additional at-home data collection.
