Procon now seeks a Junior Construction Estimator for a long term opportunity in the Washington D.C area. This role requires various skills and experience as listed below. Requirements Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation. Experience supporting vertical construction, utility, and/or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with complex program environments, including development/review of Integrated Master Schedules and analysis of TIAs/COs. Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting. Estimating proficiency using multiple structures and formats: UNIFORMAT and CSI divisions. Working knowledge of cost databases such as RSMeans. Ability to pass an HSPD-12 background check. ASPE (American Society of Professional Estimators) or AACE International certification (e.g., CCP, CEP). Experience on federal facilities programs and large, multi-phase projects. Responsibilities and Duties  Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction-level estimates with clear bases of estimate and documented assumptions. Perform change order pricing and evaluate contractor proposals, including detailed analysis of cost build-ups and schedule impacts. Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates to support planning for construction projects, A/E studies, and maintenance work. Conduct market research (labor, materials, equipment) and integrate findings into unit prices, assemblies, and escalation. Establish scope for bidding and estimating; draft clarifications and RFIs to ensure comprehensive subcontractor/vendor coverage. Produce accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing from drawings and specifications. Track planned vs. actual cost and time performance; identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with schedulers to assess Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and Change Orders (COs) within Integrated Master Schedules (IMS). Communicate estimate methodology, risks, and deltas through clear written reports and stakeholder presentations. This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you’ll be experimenting, learning, and creating content that makes people stop scrolling. You’ll work alongside senior creatives to brainstorm ideas, capture raw footage, edit short videos, draft captions, and keep a pulse on culture. One day you might be filming behind-the-scenes at a shoot, the next you could be making TikToks in the office, pulling references for a campaign, or testing out a trending sound. Take ownership of smaller assignments (like social posts, edits, or BTS coverage) and see them through from start to finish. Experiment with new formats, tools, and techniques to help push our work forward. Support larger campaigns by pulling references, prepping assets, and assisting at shoots. Monitor cultural shifts and social trends, surfacing smart opportunities for brands to engage. Collaborate across Creative, Strategy, and Account teams to bring fresh thinking to client work. Requirements 2–3 years of content creation experience (internships, freelance, or personal projects count). Familiarity with editing apps like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar. Comfort filming with DSLRs or smart phones, plus a good sense of framing and storytelling. Curiosity about social media trends and how brands show up in culture. Solid writing chops—you know how to write a caption that feels human and engaging. Eagerness to take on responsibility and learn from feedback. A portfolio, TikTok, or personal channel that shows off your creative point of view. Must submit a portfolio showcasing strong content creation across platforms, ideally work that has generated cultural buzz, and strong engagement.
