Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing emergency team in Greenville, SC. As a family-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, we offer advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians. Our team of veterinary professionals provide compassionate care and exceptional customer service to our patients and clients alike. The Emergency Vet Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to pets in emergency situations. With the support of our experienced team, you will have the opportunity to utilize and expand your skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians in treating and stabilizing pets in urgent care and emergency situations Take and record vital signs, including but not limited to, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and blood pressure Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, including blood work, urinalysis, and radiology Monitor and document patient progress and update medical records accordingly Provide thoughtful and compassionate communication to pet owners and referring veterinarians Maintain a clean and organized work environment Minimum of every other weekend Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and procedures Excellent technical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Flexibility with working schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts and holidays.
