Local Residential Research Company seeks quarterly part time employee for field work. Perfect for active retirees or semi retired. Must have reliable transportation, good sense of direction, be able to read maps, GPS and have great attention to detail. There will be about 3 days of paid field training. Part of the responsibilities include driving to each residential subdivision in route order and making accurate marks on the residential subdivision plat regarding the status of the land, lots or homes. Once the driving is done the plats are put back into alphabetical order. The updated plat markings are now transferred to the tally sheets by hand. This very unique job involves the servicing and management of live animal traps (vermin), and the dispersal of bird flocks at a large campus in north Austin using primarily high-powered lasers. Will train. Each shift is 2 hours long per evening starting at SUNSET, which is about 8pm currently and gets earlier as the weeks pass going into fall and winter. Note that daylight savings will end Nov. 2nd and sunset times at that time will be around 5:45 - 6pm. Work days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday = 6 hours per week. Pay is $20./hour and Paydays are every other Friday. You will be paid as an employee, not 1099. This secure site requires a background check - any felony convictions or violent or theft convictions will disqualify you. Drug screen is mandatory, but recreational off-time marijuana and alcohol use is permissible up to 6 hours prior to working. This is a perfect job for someone looking to make some extra easy money. You will be required to be ON TIME each shift, and stay alert (not on your phone), and must submit to location tracking while you are on site.
