Dermatology Medical Assistant

Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and collecting relevant medical histories. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready and sterile. Perform basic lab tests and manage specimen collection for laboratory analysis. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. Shedules patients appointments and facilitate effective office communication. Educate patients about their treatment plans, prescribed medications, and proper skincare techniques. Keep examination and treatment rooms clean and organized, with all necessary supplies adequately stocked. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred. Previous experience in a Medical Assistant role or a clinical environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, especially in the context of dermatology. Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software is advantageous.
