About the Role We are a data science-driven special investigations unit that uses data across employers, insurers, and contractors to prevent fraud in the insurance space, with a focus on workers' compensation and personal injury fraud. We're building smarter, more predictive systems that will shape the future of fraud detection in blue-collar industries. What We're Looking For We need a talented Data Scientist to work at the intersection of data and engineering, applying statistical analysis, machine learning, and thoughtful experimentation to uncover fraud and assess labor risk. You should have a strong problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills. What You'll Do Design and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to detect fraudulent patterns. Analyze large-scale datasets to derive actionable insights for internal and customer-facing applications. Work cross-functionally with leadership, engineering, and users to align data initiatives with business goals. Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to bring data science solutions into production. Shape the intelligence layer of our platform by applying thoughtful experimentation and model evaluation techniques. Requirements Qualifications 1 - 5 years of experience working on data science projects in fraud/risk modeling, cybersecurity, or machine learning. This is an on-site role in Midtown, New York, NY. Key Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments upon admission to the Youth and Family Care Connection and ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with clinic policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety checks and ongoing monitoring of consumers in the unit, identifying and removing hazards, documenting findings as required, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, including handling biohazard cleanup as necessary. Ensure medication consents are in place and updated as needed, administer medications per physician orders, monitor usage, document effectiveness and any side effects, and provide medication education and screening for consumers as needed. Assist in the discharge planning process, including ensuring medication refills are provided. Maintain records of medication samples and OTC medications, including administration tracking; process daily medication refill requests; and monitor, replenish, and conduct monthly audits of first aid kits to ensure compliance. Document and submit all incident and restraint reports in compliance with clinic policies. Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes respect, diversity, acceptance, and compassion while maintaining professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and staff at all times.
