Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, assisting with financial reporting, supporting audits, and improving accounting processes. This role will collaborate with the AP/AR teams and may serve as a mentor or lead for AP staff. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Job Duties: Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and reconciliations Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce relevant reports Support the Controller during audits and budget cycles Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices Partner with AP/AR teams and provide guidance to improve workflow and accuracy Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required Five plus years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment required Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting required Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel required Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload effectively required Experience leading or mentoring AP teams preferred Strong analytical and organizational skills required Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines required Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 25 lbs or more required Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk for four plus hours at a time required Alignment with company core values required Preferred Qualifications: Experience in manufacturing or project-based accounting preferred Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software preferred Benefits Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, HSA, term life, AD&D, STD, LTD 100% medical premium paid for by Panelmatic for the employee-only level medical coverage 80% paid for by Panelmatic and 20% paid for by the employee on all other level medical coverage (i.e. employee plus child, employee plus spouse, family) 401K and bonus Scholarships, educational reimbursement, paid volunteerism, and paid personal and professional development provided PTO and paid holidays provided Career advancement opportunities Competitive wages Family-friendly environment with average employee tenure above five years
