We are looking for a Lead Senior Software Development Engineer: Development Manager leads the overall software team and provides strategic and technical direction for the team, in collaboration with the other team members. The platform itself is targeted to be a Linux-based scalable server platform with full auditing, logging and transaction support for the fintech application. The application will securely interconnect with internal and external supporting services. The design is for (at least) a two-tier web server application to provide scalability, security and flexibility for existing capabilities and future growth. The role includes the following: Manage a small team of senior software development engineers. These engineers will also generally be remote, but will be working on an integrated, interdependent project where timing of the development and delivery schedule will be critical to the overall team success. Requirements Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar discipline. 7-10+ years of relevant work experience software development with at least 3 years of enterprise application development experience. Proven track record in managing a small team, and successful ability to influence others and achieving shared goals. Able to be flexible in an agile environment, identify gaps, communicate and act as needed.  Previous lead developer experience. Managing a technical team requires both a technical understanding of the challenges faced by the team, but also the level of complexity involved in developing the solution. Performance and accuracy will be critical for this application to complete the end-end transactional requirements and yet be responsive to the customers (internal and external). For this role, transactional interactions with multiple databases will be essential. There are aspects of inventory validation, loan status, available funds, purchase orders and matching invoices to authorize payments. Preferred Experience Implementation of a messaging-based workflow engine. There are several steps and subtasks involved in the evolution of a digital end to end process, including the transactional engine.
